Or, if you’re ready for a longer bike ride and tour of Miami, we’ll give you a few ideas of places that you can easily get to on a bike rental.

Cape Florida State Park

Cape Florida State Park is located at the southern tip of Key Biscayne. It is only a short 1.5 miles from the Mangrove Cycles bike shop, and a beautiful place to ride our bike rentals! Visitors come to the park to sunbathe, swim, and picnic on more than one mile of sandy Atlantic beachfront. The seascapes from the cape are breathtaking, and you’ll love the ease of the park’s bike paths and fun places to see right from your bike rental! Cape Florida State Park is the home of a historic lighthouse built in 1825 and reconstructed in 1846, and is the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County.

Flordia Cape State Park

The Cape Florida Lighthouse is a historical gem. Guided tours of the lighthouse and lighthouse keeper´s cottage are given twice daily, Thursdays through Mondays. You may also enjoy taking a lunch break at one of the park’s restaurants, such as, Lighthouse Café and Boater's Grill, offering authentic Cuban cuisine. There are also pavilions for picnics near the lighthouse.

Florida Botanic Garden

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is a further bike ride, but well worth the trip. Approximately 12 miles from the Mangrove Cycles bike shop, located on the edge of Biscayne Bay in Miami, the botanical garden is truly a unique place. Here you can walk garden paths surrounded by the beauty of nature, talk to experts in horticulture, conservation and science, view impressive art, see butterflies and birds, and take classes.

Whimsically named “The Barnacle” at Coconut Grove, this historic and beautiful house provides a glimpse of Old Florida. About a 10 mile bike ride from Mangrove Cycles, the home is situated on the shore of Biscayne Bay. It was the home of Ralph Middleton Munroe, one of Coconut Grove´s most charming and influential pioneers. Enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs on the spacious porch used as a gathering place or on a bench under a tree for solitude.

If you’re interested in the energetic and exciting Miami nightlife, you have to take your bike rental to South Beach. It is the place to be for the best nightclubs, bars, and sidewalk restaurants. All the nightlife spots line the ocean side and nothing closes until sunrise! After a great 14-mile bike ride you’ll be ready to kick back and enjoy!

Other great area attractions include Visacaya, the Miami Seaquarium, and the William Powell bridge. Nicknamed "The Miami Mountain," the bridge is the highest point in south Florida, and boasts views of downtown Miami, South Beach, Coconut Grove, and Biscayne Bay. Runners and cyclists use bridge's incline as a popular place to train.
